The Best Spinach Dip Recipe

Looking for a simple appetizer dish for the upcoming Fourth of July gathering?

Spinach dip is one of my favorite dishes to bring to potlucks or when having people over. It's simple to make and can be prepared the day before, and people alway rave about it and ask for the recipe. You can serve this dip with sourdough bread, or serve it on crackers to create fancy hors d'oeuvres.

Here's the recipe:

1 cup mayonnaise
16 oz sour cream
1.8 oz package of dry leek soup mix
4 oz can of water chestnuts, drained and chopped
10 oz frozen spinach, thawed and drained
1 loaf sourdough bread or a bag of crackers (to serve)

Mix together all of the ingredients (except for bread and crackers), and refrigerate at least 6 hours or overnight.

To serve with sourdough bread: remove the top and the interior of the bread and fill with mixture. Serve the removed bread chunks on the side for dipping.

To serve with crackers: spoon mixture and place on top of crackers

ENJOY and HAPPY FOURTH, everybody!
